A little bit about each Department:

Special Cuts/Butchers: The "Special Cuts" team members expertly trim meat to a customer's specifications. Our butchers work each day to cut the products perfectly and get them ready to purchase for our customers. With our state-of-the-art smokehouses, grinding and packing areas, and a consistent flow of customers, the meat department offers numerous opportunities to try something new and exciting.

Packaging Department: Our Packaging and Wrapping departments make sure the product is packaged properly to seal in freshness.  We have a special department called the "Cryovac Department."  To cryovac a product is like building a 2nd skin, making the product "air tight," which seals in freshness for a longer period of time.  We have state-of-the-art cryovac machines and wrapping machines & an excellent hard-working crew to get the job done! 

Seafood Department: Our fish department is a lively crew that is always willing to take on a new challenge. With our own in-store fish-smoking facility for salmon, to production opportunities and plenty of customer interaction, the fish department is perfect for a team member with an eager personality and a flair for customer service.

Hot Dog Stand: The Hot Dog Stand, located at the entrance, makes kids and parents smile! Penn Dutch makes their own hot dogs in-house, fresh everyday.  We also sell freshly made coffee, cookies...etc. This smaller department both boast lots of customer contact and a bustling workday that's perfect for an enthusiastic team member.

Produce: Our Produce department prides itself on the freshness and quality of the fruits and vegetables that are brought in every day.  It's one of our busiest and most colorful departments.

Grocery/Case-Fill: The Grocery department overlaps with a number of different areas in the store. Team members fill cases, assist customers, work as a team, and keep the store looking great! The Grocery team is an important and busy bunch!

Deli: The Deli department provides a slice of excitement to a customer's shopping experience at Penn Dutch! This fast-paced department focuses on customer service and serving Penn Dutch's fresh cold cuts and salads. The Deli department offers "meaty" career opportunities!

Front End: The Front End offers the most consistent customer contact-it's perfect for the outgoing individual who loves to meet and greet new people! This lively department provides a fun, friendly work environment. If you love to interact with people and deliver great customer service -- the front end could be for you!

Receiving: This department is crucial to our business in that it is responsible for managing and maintaining the warehouse and inventory, to keep the store well-stocked with fresh food and groceries. 

Security: This service-orientated department controls shrinkage and keeps an eye out for everyone in the store. Whether providing a jump-start to a stalled vehicle in the parking lot, to helping a customer to find a lost child, our Security team members are ready to handle anything.

Bakery: The bakery is one busy place-they're always making something new and delicious to put out for the customer! From bagels and cakes to muffins and cookies, there's never a dull moment on the Bakery floor. This department is perfect for someone who enjoys making quality products and dealing with customers on a daily basis.

Clean-Up Crew: Our clean-up crew keeps the store looking as nice as it does.  They are always ready and available to make sure Penn Dutch is in tip-top shape. 

Demos: The demo department is one of the most customer-oriented departments in the store-in offering delicious samples, you're speaking to customers all day long! This department is great for a fun-loving, friendly individual who get excited about new products and is eager to share them with others.

Sausage Kitchen: In the Sausage kitchen, we make all of our own hot dogs and sausages.  

Maintenance Department: Our maintenance department keeps everything in working order throughout the plant.  They are highly skilled individuals.
